Pholio Legal ("Pholio," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Pholio collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Pholio is designed to organize and manage legal case files on your iPad. Information you choose to store in Pholio may include case names, documents and PDFs, images, notes, medical records, correspondence, deposition transcripts, and other documents you import. This information remains under your control.

If you choose to connect your Clio account, Pholio accesses only the information necessary to import matters and documents that you request. Your Clio credentials are handled through Clio's secure authentication system, and Pholio does not store your Clio password.

If you choose to connect your Microsoft email account, Pholio accesses email information solely to display messages and attachments you choose to view or import. Email access is used only for features you explicitly enable.

Pholio allows you to send selected document content to an AI service of your choice for summarization or analysis. You control whether to initiate this process and which third-party AI service receives the information. Pholio does not operate an AI processing service, does not receive or store the content submitted to the selected AI service, and does not retain the resulting AI response. Your use of any third-party AI service is subject to that service provider’s own privacy policy and terms.Your case files and imported documents are stored on your device unless you choose to export or share them. If you export a case, share a document, or create a Pholio Handoff, that information is shared only according to your instructions.

Pholio may collect limited diagnostic information, crash reports, and anonymous usage statistics to improve app stability and performance. This information does not include the contents of your legal documents.

Depending on the features you use, Pholio may communicate with third-party services including Apple, Clio, Microsoft, and AI service providers used for summarization. Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

You may disconnect connected accounts at any time, delete case files from your device, remove imported documents, and stop using AI features at any time.

Pholio is intended for legal professionals and is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date.
